Freeway Escape
OutRun-style arcade racing with career/arcade modes, garage progression, and a 2-player duel.
Race through tropical paradise highways and thread traffic at arcade speed.
Gameplay loop
Pick career or arcade, race themed highways through a day-to-night trip clock and per-sector weather, choose risk/reward route forks in Arcade Run, drift for mini-turbos, draft for slingshots, chase a named rival each sector, weave traffic that cuts in and convoys (and oncoming cars on two-way Tundra and Orchard) for score, race your best-sector ghost, unlock cars/upgrades in the garage, and optionally create/join a 2-player duel room via FlashCore's WebSocket relay.

Strengths
- Only title with real multiplayer (2-player duel via portal relay)
- Explicit mobile landscape support — rare in this library
- Career, arcade, garage, and multiple environments add breadth
- OutRun-style route forks with a road-trip postcard album on the results screen
- Synthesized gearbox engine, wind, tyre and wet-road audio; banking camera and per-sector weather that changes grip
- Drift-to-mini-turbo handling, slipstream slingshots, and authored sweepers, S-bends and blind crests
- Best-sector ghost replays, gamepad support with rumble, and a reduced camera motion comfort option
- Mature portal messaging (ready, over, viewport, multiplayer protocol)
Gaps
- Still arcade-racer depth, not a sim or open-world driving game
- Duel is 1v1 only — no larger lobbies or ranked seasons
- Content authoring cost is high (tracks, cars, menus) vs tiny arcade titles
